This week we met on Wednesday, Feb 10 to discuss our stakeholder map and personas. Independently we made a stakeholder map and then compared what we each thought to create one (my version is pictured below). We then discussed how we wanted to approach our personas and decided to represent both a younger and older senior whose mobility varies.

stakeholder/persona drawing exercise before meeting with group, visualizing solutions from in class

In class we brainstormed pain points on Figma and visualized potential solutions (My pain points are pictured below). For my solutions (in case it is not legible above), I brainstormed the following:

  • voice/text-guided experience with engaging talking mascot/cartoon/graphic (available in various languages)
  • having replacement items pictured below an item added to your cart and permitting you to select potential replacements prior to purchase
  • an in-store video that guides viewers to new deals
  • taking a picture of a shopping list then automatically having those items in your cart
  • raffle entry for every purchase with the chance of getting free shipping, video game style shopping (not necessarily vr/maybe more traditional)
  • Phone service with traditional catalog

persona drawings I made

We each are tasked to create a persona and I volunteered to draw them. I created the below senior customer (pictured in top left).

Senior Customer, Muriel Vanburen (64, Female)

  • Utilizes: Curbside Pick-up/Sometimes At-Home Delivery
  • Personality: Independent, Avid Learner, Somewhat Tech Savvy
  • Background: Former Teacher, Occasional Substitute Teacher
  • Concern(s): Cannot always afford additional fees via service

We will be meeting later to discuss the project further and our presentation.
